Principal's Message

I would like to welcome you and your family to Cudal Public School.

Cudal Public School provides an educational setting where students are valued, supported, encouraged and challenged.  I believe our education system should promote both excellence and equity whilst equipping our students with life skills for building confidence, challenging norms, and enhancing creativity (Mparntwe Declaration). Each student has the potential to make a difference, to be an active and informed member of the community, and to succeed, grow, and thrive (School Wellbeing Framework). Teaching enables me to nurture the individual gifts, talents, and interests of every student I get to work with, and that important responsibility is something I take very seriously.

I also believe education is a team effort and that families and the community are an integral part of a student's education.  We encourage parent and family involvement in all aspects of school life and depend on your support with our homework and home reading programs as well as assistance in a variety of activities within our school including reading programs, environmental activities and physical and emotional wellbeing activities.

Our teachers are dedicated and passionate about providing students with learning experiences that address individual learning needs.  Our small school environment allows teachers to get to know all of our students well, their learning styles and needs, their strengths and areas of interest.  This is a key factor in their ability to provide authentic and successful learning programs for the students at our school.

We are actively involved in the Orange Small Schools Association ("OSSA").   OSSA provides students with the opportunity to participate in a wider range of activities with students from other small schools in our area.  Activities include Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming.  We also have an informal partnership with Curl Curl North Public School in Sydney where our students correspond with students from that school, and we occasionally have city-country reciprocal visits for our older students (trips to the beach are a highlight!).

Cudal Public School is an inclusive small school which strives to provide students with knowledge, skills and social abilities that assist them grow into confident, conscientious community members.

Once again, welcome to our school.
